ஊழிய அழைப்பு.

இன்று தேவ பிள்ளைகள் வைராக்கியம் கொண்டு தேவனுக்கு ஊழியம் செய்ய ஒப்புக் கொடுப்பதை பல நேரங்களில் பார்த்து, மகிழ்ச்சி அடைகிறேன்.

தேவனுக்கு ஊழியம் செய்வது ஒரு சிலாக்கியம். ஊழியம் செய்ய தேவ அழைப்பு இருக்கும் போது ஊழியம் பெரிய அளவில் கர்த்தருக்கு மகிமை சேர்க்கும். ஊழியம் செய்வதற்கு வயது வித்தியாசம் இல்லை.

ஆபிரகாம் முதிர்வயது உள்ளவனாக இருந்த போது வாக்குதத்தம் செய்யப் பட்ட ஈசாக்கை பெற்றான். ஈசாக்கிற்கு பிறகும் மறுமனையாட்டிகளை மணம் செய்து பிள்ளைகள் பெற்றான் என்பது நாம் அறிந்த ஒன்றே.

ஆனால் கர்த்தர் வாக்குதத்தம் செய்த போது அவன் தனக்குள் சிரித்து முதிர்வயதில் எனக்கு பிள்ளையா என்று நினைத்து, இஸ்மவேலுக்காக வேண்டுகிறான். வாக்குதத்தத்தின் பிள்ளை ஈசாக்கு பிறந்த பின் அவனுக்கு புரிந்து விட்டது. ஜாதிகளின் தந்தை என்ற வாக்குதத்தம் நிறைவேற மறுமனையாட்டிகளை மணம் செய்தான் போலும்!

ஆக ஊழியம் சிறு வயதிலும் (இயேசு பன்னிரண்டு வயதிலேயே கூறுகிறார், லூக்கா 2:49. ... என் பிதாவுக்கடுத்தவைகளில் நான் இருக்கவேண்டியதென்று நீங்கள் அறியீர்களா ?) மூப்பிலும் கர்த்தர் உங்களை அழைத்தால் கீழ்படிந்து ஊழியம் செய்யுங்கள்.

மோசேவை எரிகின்ற முட்செடியில் கர்த்தர் சந்தித்து பேசும் போது அவனும் வயது சென்றவன் தான். 40 வயது வாலிபனாகும் (நமக்கு இப்போது 40 முதிர்வயது!) வரையில் பார்வோனின் குமாரனாக இருந்து, கொலைக் குற்றத்திற்காக தப்பிப் போய் 40 வருடம் ஆடு மேய்த்தவன் மோசே. 80 வயதில் தானே அவனுக்கு ஊழியம் செய்ய தேவ அழைப்பு வந்தது.

"எனக்கு ஊழியம் செய்வதற்கு அழைப்பு வந்தது. ஆனால் என் குடும்பம், என் பிள்ளைகளின் வாழ்க்கை நிலைவரப்பட்ட பின்னர் ஊழியம் செய்ய ஒப்புக் கொடுப்போம்" என்று கூறும் சிலர் உள்ளனர்.

"கலப்பையின் மேல் கைவைத்து பின்னிட்டு பார்ப்பவன் பரலோக ராஜ்யத்திற்கு உகந்தவனல்ல" என்ற வசனத்தை ஆதாரமாக சொல்பவர் உண்டு.

அழைப்பு வந்தப்பின் தாமதிப்பது என்பது தாலந்தை மண்ணில் புதைத்து வைக்கும் ஊழியனுக்கு ஒப்பாக அல்லவா இவர்கள்  இருக்கிறார்கள்!

சிலரோ, எனக்கு தேவ அழைப்பு  வந்தது. ஆனால் என் மனைவி / கணவன் என்னோடு ஊழியத்தில் செல்ல ஆயத்தமாக இல்லை, ஆதலால் அவர் ஒப்புக் கொடுக்கும் வரை ஊழியம் செய்ய ஒப்புக் கொடுப்பது கடினம் என்று சொல்வதை காண்கிறோம்.

தேவ சமூகத்தில் அமர்ந்து முதலில் நீங்கள் ஒப்புக் கொடுங்கள். பின்னர் உங்கள் மனைவியை / கணவனை கர்த்தர் வழி நடத்தி வரும்படி ஜெபம் செய்யுங்கள்.

எந்தவொரு நிலையிலும் கணவனோ மனைவியோ உங்கள் ஊழியத்தை ஏற்காதிருக்கும் போது, வாழ்க்கை கடினமாகும்.

ஆனாலும் சிலர் பிரசங்கிக்கின்றது போல், தேவனுக்கு வைராக்கியமாக தாவீது மீகாளுக்கு செய்தது போலே செய்யும் முன், தேவ சித்தத்தை கேட்டு தெரிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.

இந்த நிகழ்வை காரணங்காட்டி, தேவன் இணைத்ததை மனிதன் பிரிக்காதிருக்கக் கடவன்.

ஊக்கமான ஜெபத்தை கர்த்தர் கேட்டு, அதற்கான பலனை கொடுக்கிறார். ஆச்சரியமாக காரியங்களை செய்ய கர்த்தர் வல்லவராக இருக்கிறார்.

தேவ அழைப்பை அறிந்து, அதற்கு முழுமையாக ஒப்புக் கொடுங்கள். பேதுரு, அந்திரேயா, யாக்கோபு, யோவான், இவர்கள் அனைவரும் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து அழைத்த உடனே எல்லாவற்றையும் விட்டு பின்சென்றவர்கள். ஆயக்காரனாகிய மத்தேயுவும் அப்படியே சென்றான்.

நாம் அறிந்த படி இவர்களில் பேதுரு நிச்சயமாக திருமணம் ஆனவன். அவன் மாமியை (மாமியார் என்று ஆங்கிலத்தில் மொழி பெயர்த்து இருக்கிறார்கள்) இயேசு சுகமாக்கினார் என்பதை வாசிக்கிறோம்.

யாதொரு உலகப்பிரகாரமான ஆஸ்தியையோ, ஆசீர்வாதத்தையோ, உறவையோ விட்டு இயேசுவை பின்பற்றுவோருக்கு இம்மையில் நூறத்தனையாகவும், மறுமையில் நித்திய ஜீவனும் வாக்குதத்தம் செய்யப் பட்டு இருக்கிறது.

கர்த்தர் உங்களை அழைத்தால் கீழ்படிந்து ஊழியம் செய்யுங்கள். என்னத்தை உண்போம், என்னத்தை உடுத்துவோம் என்று அஞ்ஞானிகளை போல் நாடி தேடாமல், என் கர்த்தர் என்னை போஷிக்க, உடுத்துவிக்க வல்லவராக இருக்கிறார் என்று விசுவாசித்து ஊழியம்  செய்யுங்கள்.

முன்பே ஊழியமா அல்லது வேலையா என்ற தலைப்பில் பதிவு உள்ளது. தேவைப்பட்டால் வாசிக்க இங்கு செல்க

தேவன் உங்களை வழிநடத்தும் படியே கீழ்படிந்து செய்வது, தேவனுடைய பார்வையில் பிரீதியாக உள்ளது.

கர்த்தர் தாமே உங்களை வழிநடத்தி தம்முடைய மகிமைக்கென பயன்படுத்துவாராக. ஆமென்.

Calling to serve the LORD

In our age I see children of God committing to do LORD’s ministry and am excited to see the zeal in them. It is indeed a great privilege to serve the LORD. When there is a specific calling from the LORD, service would surely glorify the LORD. There are no age bars for serving the LORD.

Abraham was very old when he received the Promised son Isaac. After begetting Isaac, we read that he married concubines and begot more children. However see what he did when the LORD promised him a son through Sarah. He prays to the LORD for Ishmael. But after he got the promised son, he understood the secret that age is no bar. So he married more concubines and made the promise of “father of nations” to come to pass.
Even in young age, if the LORD calls you, then you need to obey and serve. We see Jesus stating “Know ye not that I need to be in my father’s work?”

When Moses was called from the burning bush he was 80 years. Till he became 40 years young man, he was living in Pharoh’s palace as a Prince. (In our times, some say 40 years is old age) Fearing execution for murdering an Egyptian he fled and was a shepherd for another 40 years.

Some may say, “ I got the calling for Ministry. However I have a family, I have children to settle and I will settle them before committing myself for ministry.”

They also quote the verse “One who looks back after laying hands on the plow is not right one for Kingdom of Heaven”
After you get the calling, delaying to obey is like burying the talent in the mud.
Some may say, “I have got the calling for ministry. However my spouse is not yet ready for me to take up ministry. So let my spouse get ready and then I will commit.”
First OBEY to the calling. Commit yourself to the ministry in the presence of LORD. Pray that LORD lead your spouse to accept the calling and support you.
If your spouse has not accepted you serving the LORD, life will become tough.
Some may quote David – Micah incident and say separate. Prudent to be aware what LORD’s will is and then act. Let man not separate what LORD has joined. Our LORD hears genuine prayer and rewards. He is able to do amazing things.
Understand the calling of the LORD and commit yourself comepletely. Peter, Andrew, John, James left everything they had and followed Jesus. Tax collector Matthew also followed Jesus the moment he was called.
We know for sure that Peter was married; we see that Jesus healed his Mother in law.
If you have to forsake Worldly riches, blessings, relationships. To follow Jesus, he has promised hundred fold in this world and Eternal life in heaven.
When the LORD calls you, obey and serve. Don’t be worried about, what I would eat or clothe, like the pagans. Be of faith that the LORD is able to nourish and provide all your needs.

ஒளித் திருவிழா

அக்டோபர் மாத இறுதியில் இந்தியாவின் மூலை முடுக்கெல்லாம் தீபங்களை ஏற்றி ஒளித்திருவிழாவாக கொண்டாடுவதைக் காண்கிறோம். இந்தப் பண்டிகை நாளிலே மெய்யான ஒளியாம் மீட்பர் இயேசுவின் நற்செய்தி தன்னை அறிந்திட நாம் ஜெபம் செய்வது அவசியம்.

நம் பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்கு ஜோதிகளின் பிதா என்று ஒரு நாமம் உண்டு.

யாக்கோபு 1:17 நன்மையான எந்த ஈவும் பூரணமான எந்த வரமும் பரத்திலிருந்துண்டாகி, சோதிகளின் பிதாவினிடத்திலிருந்து இறங்கிவருகிறது; அவரிடத்தில் யாதொரு மாறுதலும் யாதொரு வேற்றுமையின் நிழலுமில்லை.

சேரக்கூடாத ஒளியில் வாசம்பண்ணுகிறவர் என்ற நாமமும் நம் பிதாவிற்கு உண்டு. தீமோ 6:16

இயேசு ஒளிகுறித்துக் கூறும் போது....

யோவான் 12:35. ...இன்னும் கொஞ்சக்காலம் ஒளி உங்களிடத்தில் இருக்கும்; இருளில் நீங்கள் அகப்படாதபடிக்கு ஒளி உங்களோடிருக்கையில் நடவுங்கள்; இருளில் நடக்கிறவன் தான் போகிற இடம் இன்னதென்று அறியான்.
36. ஒளி உங்களோடிருக்கையில் நீங்கள் ஒளியின் பிள்ளைகளாகும்படிக்கு, ஒளியினிடத்தில் விசுவாசமாயிருங்கள் என்றார்.

வீசொளி, காலஞ் சிறிதும்மோ டேயிருக்கும்
வீசொளி உங்களோ டுள்ளப்போ -வீசொளியில்
நீர்நடப்பீர்; காரிருள் வெற்றிக் கொளாமலே
நீர்தான் ஒளியில் நட

இருளில் நடப்பவர் எங்கேத்தாம் செல்வ
இருளில் தெரியா தவர்க்கு -மருளா,
இருக்குங்கால் ஏற்பீர் ஒளியையே; ஏற்றால்
இருப்பீ ரொளிசார்ந்தோ ராய்

இயேசு நாதர் வெண்பா 748 & 749

நாம் அறிய வேண்டிய மற்றொரு சத்தியம் மெய்யான ஒளி இயேசுவே.

யோவான் 1:9 உலகத்திலே வந்து எந்த மனுஷனையும் பிரகாசிப்பிக்கிற ஒளியே அந்த மெய்யான ஒளி.

தீபங்களை ஏற்றி இருளை அகற்ற முயலும் மனிதர்களை, மெய்யான ஒளி இயேசுவே என்று எப்படிக் காட்டுவது?

இயேசு என்ன சொல்கிறார் பாருங்கள்

நீங்கள் உலகத்திற்கு வெளிச்சமாய் இருக்கிறீர்கள் மத்தேயு 5:14

இயேசு மெய்யான ஒளி.

நாம் உலகத்திற்கு வெளிச்சமாய் இருக்கிறோம். ஏனெனில் நம்மை பிரகாசிப்பிக்கிற ஒளி, இயேசு.

நம்மில் இயேசு இருப்பதால் நாம் பிரகாசித்து உலகத்திற்கு ஒளியாக இருக்கிறோம்.

ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் இருளானது நம்மை பற்றிக் கொள்ளாதபடி நாம் நமது ஜெபங்களில் மெய்யான ஓளி இயேசுவை நம்முள் பிரகாசிக்கும்படி, அவர் ஒளீயை நம்மிலிருந்து பிரகாசிக்கச் செய்யும்படி வேண்டிக்கொள்வோம்.

இயேசுவைப் பிரதிபலிக்கும் ஒரு கண்ணாடி பிம்பமாய் நாம் வாழ வேண்டும். இயேசுவைப் போல வாழ்ந்தாலே அவரால் பிரகாசிக்கப்பட்டு நம்மால் ஒளிவீசி வெளிச்சம் கொடுக்க முடியும்.

அன்பான தேவ பிள்ளைகளே, மக்களை அவர்களது மூடநம்பிக்கைகளில் இருந்து கொண்டுவருவது கடினம். ஆனாலும், சத்திய வசனமாகிய நம் வேதாகம வசனங்களை விதைகளாய் விதைப்போம். ஒளித்திருநாளில் சோதிகளின் பிதாவின் சித்தத்தை அறிந்து, ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் ஒளித்திருவிழாவாக நாம் கொண்டாடும் நாள் வெகு அருகாமையில் உள்ளது.

மத்தேயு 13:43 ... நீதிமான்கள் தங்கள் பிதாவின் ராஜ்யத்திலே சூரியனைப்போலப் பிரகாசிப்பார்கள்

வெளி 22:5 அங்கே இராக்காலமிராது; விளக்கும் சூரியனுடைய வெளிச்சமும் அவர்களுக்கு வேண்டுவதில்லை; தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரே அவர்கள்மேல் பிரகாசிப்பார். அவர்கள் சதாகாலங்களிலும் அரசாளுவார்கள்.

அல்லேலூயா. அன்பானவர்களே எப்படிப்பட்ட நித்திய ராஜ்யம் நமக்கு வாக்குதத்தம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது! நீதிமான்களாய் சூரியனைப் போல பிரகாசிக்கவும், தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரே நம்மேல் பிரகாசிக்கும் நாளும் மிக அருகாமையில் உள்ளது. இந்த வாக்குதத்ததிற்காய் நாம் நம்முடைய ஓட்டத்தில் ஒழுங்கின்படியே ஒடி முடிப்போம்.

எந்நேரத்திலும் யேகோவா என்னும் நாமமுள்ள பிதாவாகிய தேவனை மாத்திரம் முன்னிறுத்தி, அவரை மட்டுமே மகிமை படுத்தி, ஆவியானவரின் வழிநடத்துதலின் படி ஒவ்வொரு கணநேரமும்  இயேசுவின் நற்செய்தியை வாழ்ந்து, பிதாவின் சித்தத்தை நிறைவேற்றுபவர்களே தேவ ஜனம் என்றழைக்கப்பட தகுதியுள்ளோர்.

People who, In every circumstances keeping LORD Yahweh first and Glorify the Father in heaven and lead their life as led by the Holy Spirit and thus living Christ like life, are the only people who could qualify to be called as Lord's people.

தேவன் நம்மை இப்படி வனைய, குயவன் கையில்  ஈரக் களிமண்ணாக நம் வாழ்வை ஒப்புக் கொடுப்போம்.

Let us surrender and submit our lives to the LORD as a wet clay in potters hand

எந்தவொரு நிலையும் தேவனுக்கு பெரிதானதல்ல... நம் தேவனால் கூடாத காரியம் ஒன்றும் இல்லை. நம் இரட்சகர் சொல்கிறார் "விசுவாசிக்கிறவனுக்கு எல்லாம் கூடும்"

No situation is greater than our LORD. Nothing is impossible for the Lord. Our redeemer says "Anything is possible for the one who believes".

என்னே ஒரு வாக்குதத்தம்! தேவனால் கூடாத காரியம் ஒன்றுமில்லை! விசுவாசிக்கிறவனுக்கு எல்லாம் கூடும்!

What a Promise!

Nothing is impossible for the LORD.

நம்மிடத்தில் இயேசு பெரும் விசுவாசத்தை கேட்கவில்லை. கடுகு விதையளவு விசுவாசமே கேட்கிறார்.

Jesus doesn’t expect great faith. He says faith as little as mustard seed is enough.

ஆக விசுவாசம் மட்டும் இருந்தால் போதுமா?

Is faith suffice?

நான் விசுவாசிக்கிறேன் ஆண்டவரே, உம்மால் இதை செய்யக் கூடும் ஆண்டவரே, ஜெபத்தை கேட்டருளும் என்று முட்டி மோதி ஜெபிக்கும் மக்களின் மத்தியில், என் தேவன் எனக்கு என்ன கொடுக்க சித்தமாயிருக்கிறாரோ, அது என்னை வந்தடையும். என் பணி அவர் சித்தத்தை செய்து முடிப்பதே என்று கிரியைகளை செய்வோர் எத்துனை?

"I have faith Lord. I beleive you can do this. Hear our prayers O Lord. " such are the umpteen people who pray and in middle of such believers, how many are there to say, "WHATEVER LORD HAS DESTINED FOR ME SHALL COME TO PASS! MY JOB IS TO ACCOMPLISH HIS WILL. SO I WILL CONTINUE TO DO HIS WILL"

இதோ என் ஆத்துமாவை வாங்கத் தேடுகிறார்கள், என் ஆத்துமாவை எடுத்துக் கொள்ளும் என்று சூரைச்செடியின் கீழ் படுத்திருந்த எலியாவை இரண்டு முறை எழுப்பி ஆகாரம் கொடுத்து,
ஆவியானவர் நடக்கச் சொன்னார், நாற்பது நாள் ஆகாரம் கூட இல்லாமல் நடக்கும் எலியாவின் கிரியையை நினைவு கூருங்கள்.

Remember Elijah's murmur? He was fleeing Jezebel and rested under a broom tree. Angel woke him twice to feed him. Then Lord asks him to walk 40 days, without food, till the Horeb mountain.

யெசபேலை விட கர்த்தருடைய கரம் குறுகியதோ? ஆயினும் ஒரு பரதேசியைப் போல தேவ ஆவியானவர் சொன்னதால் நாற்பது நாள் ஆகாரமில்லாது ஓரேப் மலை வரை நடந்த எலியா. கடுகளவு விசுவாசம் எனக்குள் உள்ளது. ஆகையால் என்ன தீங்கு என்னை மேற்கொள்ளும். இதோ இப்போது தானே அக்கினியால் உத்தரவு கொடுத்தார் தேவன். நான் ஏன் ஓட வேண்டும் என்று அவன் கேட்டானா?

Was LORD'S hand smaller than Jezebel's? Why should Elijah flee her like an urchin? Did he ask, 'Oh I have faith as big as mustard seed. Just a few days back I had received answer in Fire from the LORD.  Why should I run?'

ஓடியதாலே கர்த்தருடைய மகிமையை, அவர் முன்செல்லும் சமூகத்தை கண்டான். ஆயினும் கர்த்தர் என்ன சொல்லுகிறார், "பாகாலை ஆராதனை செய்யாத ஏழாயிரம் பேர் இஸ்ரவேலில் வைத்திருக்கிறேன்"

Because he obeyed he saw the LORD’S PRESENCE. Yet to his murmur LORD answered "I have kept 7000 who does  not worship Baal"

ஐயா... அதெல்லாம் மிகப் பழைய நிகழ்வுகள் என்று நினைக்கிறீர்களா, புதிய ஏற்பாட்டிலும் பல உதாரணங்கள் உள்ளன. ஒன்றைக் காண்போம்.

Oh sir... these were very old occurences... if you think that, there are many occutences in new testament period. Let's see one such.

இயேசுவின் வாழ்க்கையில் பார்க்கிறோம்.... திமிர்வாதக்காரனை சுமந்து வந்த மனிதரின் விசுவாசத்தை இயேசு பார்க்கிறார். விசுவாசத்தை மட்டுமல்ல, தூக்கிக் கொண்டு கூரையை பிரித்து இறக்கும் கிரியையையும் பார்க்கிறார்.

Jesus sees the belief of the men who carried the invalid to him. They took away the roof tiles to lower the invalid so that Jesus could heal him. Jesus saw the action of these men who lowered the invalid.

என் வாழ்க்கை, என் குடும்பம், என் ஆசீர்வாதம், நான் இயேசுவை காணவேண்டும், நான் அவர் உபதேசத்தை கேட்டால் போதும், என அந்த வீட்டில் கூடியிருந்த மக்கள் நினைத்த போது, 'இவன் எப்படி போனால் எனக்கென்ன?', என்று விடாமல், கூரையை பிரித்தேனும் இறக்குவோம் வாருங்கள்... இவன் சுகமாக வேண்டும்... என்ற விசுவாசக் கிரியையை கண்ட இயேசு குணமாக்குகிறார்.

The crowd who had gathered there were more selfish for themselves, their family, let me hear teachings from Jesus. However the men who carried the invalid were selfless. Whatever it takes, even if we have to dismantle the roof tiles, the invalid needs healing. Jesus saw these action of faith.

யாக்கோபின் நிரூபத்தில் படிக்கிறோம் "கிரியை இல்லா விசுவாசம் செத்த விசுவாசம்" யாக்கோபு விசுவாசத்தின் தகப்பன் என்று போற்றப்படும் ஆபிரகாமே கிரியையினால் நீதிமானாக்கப் பட்டான் என்று எழுதியிருப்பதை காணுங்கள்.

In the epistle of James we read "faith with out deeds is dead" He even explains how The father of faith, Abraham was made righteous by his deeds.

இதே போல் பற்பல உதாரணங்கள் உண்டு.

There are many such examples like this.

ஆக, தேவ பிள்ளையே, தேவ சித்தத்தை கேட்டு, அப்படியே ஆகுமென விசுவாசித்து, தேவனே இந்த சித்தத்தில் என் பங்கு என்ன என்று கேட்டு அதற்கு கீழ்படிந்து கிரியை செய்வதே தேவ பிள்ளைகள் வாழ்வில் இன்றியமையாதது.

Hence, Child of God,

Knowing LORD’S will,
Believing that it shall come to pass and
Asking the Lord whats my part in it and obeying the Lord

are the three cardinal rules.

பிதாவின் சித்தம் செய்பவனே பரலோக ராஜ்யத்தில் பிரவேசிப்பான். இது இயேசுவின் சத்திய வாக்கு.

JESUS has said, Only the Ones who does the Father's will shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

பிதாவின் சித்தம் செய்ய ஒப்புக் கொடுங்கள். அவர் என்ன செய்யச் சொன்னாலும் கீழ்படிந்து செய்யுங்கள்.

Submit yourself to do the LORD'S will. Whatever He says, OBEY.

தேவன் உங்களை ஆசீர்வதிப்பாராக. ஆமென்.

Speaking in Tongues

In today's churches, especially Pentecost and AG denominational Churches, only if you speak in Tongues does the congregational members recognise that you have the anointing of the Holy Spirit. This has become a normal practice to recognise anointing of Holy Spirit through speaking of tongues in India and its spectacular revival in the past few decades or so.

In the congregation where I took water baptism, they conducted a class in which the elder woman who conducted the class taught the attendees to get the anointing by speaking of tongues as early as possible.

*What is Anointing of Holy Spirit?*

Let us turn to our Bibles and see some of the recorded scriptures.

Jesus says speaking in Tongues as one of the signs of a believer. But that's not the only sign.

Mark 16:17 In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

On the Pentecost day when the disciples have assembled the Holy Spirit descended on them as a split fire tongue and they started to speak in different languages. When they started to speak in different languages, the people who had gathered there were amazed to see how these could speak in their native language, despite these being from Galilee or Israel. The Gospel was preached to these visitors by the speaking of Tongues. (Read Acts 2)

*Only if you are baptised in water, holy spirit baptism will be given - incorrect doctrine*

Some church elders are of opinion that Only if you are baptised in water, holy spirit baptism will be given. Let us see what happened in the house of Cornelius when Peter was sent to evangelise to the gentiles, for the first ever time, as recorded in the Acts 10. Peter seeing that the people gathered speaking in tongues, after they heard the Gospel and accepted Jesus as Christ, says Lets not withold water baptism to these believers.

Citing this incident, do we say that we should not get water baptism without anointing of Holy Spirit? Same way stating that "

Only if you are baptised in water, holy spirit baptism will occur" is an incorrect doctrine.

In my life, before the water baptism I got the anointing of Holy Spirit. (Without even knowing what is anointing and tongues, I have asked for the anointing and got it. In the water baptism class mentioned above, about 30 believers were there to take the baptism and only 3 of us had holy spirit anointing)

*Who shall be anointed?*

Some doctrines state that only Believers will get Anointing. This also is found to be incorrect through another incident.

First king of Israel Saul, was rejected by the LORD and Samuel was commisioned by the LORD to anoint David as the king of Israel. After this the kingship of Saul did not go immediately. When the Philistines waged war against Israel David kills Goliath and the people sing exalting David over Saul. This makes Saul to be angry with David and at many times David escapes and runs away to save his life. In one such escapade, David foes to Ramah and meets Samuel to tell him all that happened to him. While he was with Samuel, Saul sends his servants to bring David. However the servants when they came near the place where Samuel and David were residing, the spirit of prophecy descends on them and they started to prophesising. Saul sent 2 more set of servants and same result. Then Saul himself comes to meet. He is also not spared.  The spirit of prophecy descends on him as well. It is recorded that he tore his garments and for one day and night he kept on prophesying lay on ground.

So when the LORD decides, he can anoint anyone. Be it Saul, or his servants.

*Is speaking in tongues in the congregation correct?*

Let us see what Paul says in 1 Corinthians 14

9 So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.

10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.

11 Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me.

12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.

14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.

15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

16 Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest?

17 For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified.

18 I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:

19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.

God only knows why these are not preached in the churches. Probably this is hidden to them

Also see verse 22

Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.

Woah... Speaking in tongues is a sign to them that believe not!

In verse 23

If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?

So Children of God, if someone in the congregation speak in tongue, interpretation is as important as speaking in tongue. If interpretation is not there, what result does it give? Nothing.

*Tongues In my life*

If LORD fills me with tongues, when I am praying with someone, he is able to make me understand the meaning.

If he makes me to speak in tongue in my personal prayer, and doesn't make the meaning understand to me, then he makes me to pray for something I need not know.

*Talking same words as tongues*

Some people remember the words they spake when the anointing was given and repeat them. This is an incorrect way. LORD might have used that tongue prayer for a specific reason and remembering that and praying is just from your flesh.

Remember Jesus' warning: Don't pray with useless words

*Speaking in tongues in the congregation*

Some believers think that if I don't speak in tongues congregation might think that I am not anointed and hence speak in some delerium words. This is absolutely incorrect.

In some churches pastors and worship leaders ask the congregation to speak in tongues and worship the LORD. This also is not biblical.

I Cor 14:27-28 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

Hence speaking in tongues is not the only gift of God. Let us not make that Speaking in tongues is the Anointing. LORD is able to anoint who he wants to Anoint.

So if the Holy Spirit leads you to speak tongues or interpret tongues or prophesy, obey to the command. Wherever he makes you to speak in a congregation of two or three, request the LORD to explain the tongues.

However DONOT take that speaking in  tongues or prophesising are the only gifts of anointing.
