LORD will speak to you through John 14.
Jesus said "the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works."
So Jesus' deeds are done by Father. Whatever Father wanted him to perform Jesus did. Thats one of the primary reasons why his ministry withstood the times and still being talked about.
The next verse would have been a whiplash to the disciples. He said "Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake."
The next verse was a big promise to the believers
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Greater works than Jesus' works is promised for the believers.
If we enlist Jesus' deeds we can group them as
He healed sick
He drove demons
He raised dead
He preached
He healed a born blind
and so on
of all deeds, he gave himself on the cross as a sacrificial lamb so that who ever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Author of Salvation is Jesus alone.
He could say "Finished" on the cross, as he accomplished all that were commanded to him to be completed. Jesus dedicated himself to accomplish the will of the Father.
Jesus gave only one command. That's Love. He said
If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
The Holy God in Trinity and Triune will make their abode in believer. For that only thing we need to do is to Love Him and Love one another.
The creator of Universe, the one who cannot be contained in the universe and heavens, will make His abode with the person who loves him. What a privilege!
If we say "The Father is in me" and do whatever our self wants to do, how will Father's will be accomplished? We need to give way for the Holy Ghost, whom the Father had sent in Jesus name. He is capable of accomplishing things which even we could not imagine to accomplish. God is Able.
A Testimony
I was working in Dubai. That timeframe was good for me to grow in Spirit.
One Thursday night, I visited a brother in Christ's residence in Sharjah and we had dinner together. We went to sleep after a small supplication to the Father to accomplish his will through us.
The brother slept once he hit the bed. However I was in spirit the whole night. I am not sure if my flesh was sleeping or alert. In the Spirit I saw a woman in labour. I saw the child had complications with its umbilical chord surrounding its neck. What a state! the umbilical chord which was supposed to feed the baby is acting as a noose! Holy Spirit made me to untangle the umbilical chord. I obeyed.
I was in spirit till the delivery is completed through a Cesarean section. Once the delivery is completed, I came to senses and found that it was morning.
I shared this spiritual journey with the brother. He asked will such this happen? Are you a doctor? then I asked him, isn't my LORD able to do this? He agreed that God is Able.
Friday was holiday and returned to office on Saturday. One of the colleagues distributed sweets to the office co-workers stating that on Thursday night another colleague was blessed with a boy and the delivery happened with great complications. It happened in India.
The child's father returned to Dubai after few days and explained how the doctors lost hope as the baby had the umbilical chord around its neck for long time and a still born baby was a possibility. However after few hours during the scan they found the umbilical chord out of the neck and immediately performed C-Section.
I became stunned when he was explained these. I gave Glory to God. How LORD loves another soul! The child's parents were not believers in Christ. So in secret, I Praised the LORD for his love.
After a few days when I held the Child in my hands, I thanked the LORD profusely, in my heart. This child had come into the world because of the amazing grace of my LORD.
Like this when we allow the LORD to lead us, he performs miracles.
After this incident, many times I have gone in spirit and obeyed what the LORD had commanded. Most of the times, I have not got report of what happened. Whatever may be the case, I accomplished LORD's will, which is my food.
Self deeds will fail you. When we allow the Holy Spirit who had come in Jesus Name and sent by the heavenly Father to accomplish LORD's will, he will lead us to accomplish HIS will as a zealous child and at the end make us state "LORD we accomplished your will"
God is Able. Amen.
